Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust Headquarters
Overlooking the St. Johns River, the duPont Testamentary Trust building is the national headquarters for the non-profit organization. The building is 63,957 GSF with 35,441 SF air-conditioned space. With four stories, the building features an enclosed atrium with lush plantings, hardscape and fountains. The atrium is accented by a 58 x 58 pyramid skylight, a museum gallery, private offices, fitness room, catering kitchen, board room and chilled water system.
The interior boasts granite floors on the first and fourth floors, extremely opulent high-end finishes, glass mill work interior office walls and wrought iron railing accents overlooking the atrium from each floor. A rooftop garden sits above the garage.
Using sustainable building methods, the construction consists of structural steel, architectural precast and a red slate roof. Sitework involved removal of a significant amount of debris buried in the early 1900s after The Great Fire of 1901. The landscape for the building is designed to connect with the city’s River Walk.
