Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens

Elkins has been working with The Cummer since 2005. We constructed a 16,000 SF gallery and meeting space addition and a 2,400 SF renovation. The project included a large exhibition space, loading dock, catering kitchen, restrooms, art storage and frame storage. Elkins also completed the exterior and structural renovation of the Lane Building, which is on the National Register of Historic Sites. Other projects include renovation of the Olmstead Garden; Renovation and replacement of main entry doors and windows; new 90-space parking lot; Tuckpointing on main building; Consultation on various future improvements.

The Cummer projects are particularly sensitive due to the public traffic through the museum and the priceless works of art. Specific site utilization and safety plans were specially designed for this project.
